Since 1937 San Clemente
has been one of the most popular beaches in California.
Midway between Los Angeles and San Diego, the park attracts
water sports enthusiasts and those seeking relief from the
inland heat or an escape from nearby metropolitan areas. The
family campground sits high atop the bluffs. Each of the 160
sites has a fire ring, picnic table and shade ramada, with
water nearby. The RV area in the family campground
accommodates 72 recreational vehicles, and has water,
electrical and sewage hookups. A group camping area can
handle 50 people and 20 vehicles, trailers included. Each
campground has hot showers, flush toilets and a sink area.
Just a short walk to the beach and close to everything
Orange County has to offer, San Clemente Sate Beach
Campground is a great place to go camping.

San Onofre Bluffs offers
camping along Old Highway 101 adjacent to the sandstone
bluffs. The beach below is a popular swimming and surfing
area with six rugged dirt access trails cut into the bluff
above. All campsites include a fire pit and picnic table,
however all campsites are non-hookup “dry-camping” sites.
All campsites offer a picnic table and fire pit, and most
offer incredible views of the ocean from the bluff top. Cold
outdoor showers and chemical toilets are available for use.
San Onofre State Beach Bluffs Campground is a great choice
for campers, surfers, swimmers, anglers, hikers, bicyclists
and birdwatchers. There is abundant wildlife to observe,
such as whales, dolphins, sea lions and several species of
seabirds. The park is open year round for day use, but is
closed for camping from October 1 through May 15. |

Located a short distance
inland from San Onofre State Beach, this campground offers a
1.5 mile nature trail which connects to the world class
surfing spot Trestles Beach. The San Mateo Creek runs just
east of the campground to the ocean, creating a habitat
boasting rare and endangered species. This campground offer
some sites with electric and water hookups, and also offers
flush toilets and coin operated hot indoor showers, along
with a fire pit and picnic table in each site. San Mateo
Campground offers a wilderness feeling along with close to
it all convenience.

Doheny
State Beach Campground
Doheny State Beach offers
over a mile of sandy beach and some of the warmest water and
best swimming and surfing in California, which helped in
being voted Orange County’s “best camping site” for 14
consecutive years. The campground boasts 122 campsites,
including 33 beach front sites with fire rings, picnic
tables, and hot showers. There is also a group camp which
can accommodate up to 40 people. Volleyball, swimming,
sunbathing, kayaking and windsurfing are popular activities
at Doheny, and during low tides there are tide pools to
explore. All campsites are non-hookup “dry camping” sites,
with the campground providing restroom and shower facilities
to make your camping experience more convenient.

Bolsa
Chica State Beach is located in the city of Huntington
Beach, with multi use trails connecting it to Huntington
State Beach. The park extends three miles from Sunset Beach
to Seapoint Avenue and provides a great place for fishing,
biking, surfing, volleyball and wildlife viewing. Across the
road from the beach is the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.
The campground does not allow tent camping, but does provide
electrical and water hookups along with restroom and shower
facilities. With all the area has to offer and the
convenience of camping just steps from the beach, Bolsa
Chica Campground offers an incredible camping experience.
